Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to Valley View Overlook Trail within Saguaro National Park, start at the park entrance. If you are entering from the West District, head east on Saguaro National Park West's main road. Continue for approximately 7 miles until you reach the junction for the Valley View Overlook Trail. The trailhead is located near the end of this road on the right side. Look for a parking area that accommodates visitors. Note that there may be a park entrance fee of $25 per vehicle, valid for 7 days.

• Public Transportation

  If using public transportation, take a bus to the nearest stop to Saguaro National Park, which is generally in Tucson. From there, you can utilize a rideshare service or taxi to get to the park entrance. Once you arrive at the park entrance, follow the same driving directions as if you were in a car. Keep in mind that public transportation options may be limited, so check local schedules in advance.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy biking, consider cycling to the park. Tucson has several bike lanes and paths that can connect you to Saguaro National Park. Once you arrive at the park, follow the main road to the Valley View Overlook Trail. Make sure to wear a helmet and bring plenty of water, as the desert can be very hot. There is no additional fee for bicycles, but you still need to pay the park entrance fee.
