If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Payson, AZ. Head east on AZ-260 E for about 15 miles. Look for the signs directing you towards the Tonto National Forest and the Baker Butte Lookout. Turn onto Forest Road 64, which will lead you closer to the lookout. Follow this road for approximately 5 miles. Be aware that the last section may be unpaved and require a vehicle with higher clearance. There will be a sign indicating the Baker Butte Lookout as you approach. Parking is available at the base of the lookout.

From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to the Tonto National Forest entrance.
