Car
If you are driving from any location in Arkansas Highland, head towards US-62 W. Continue on US-62 W until you reach the junction with AR-21 N. Turn left onto AR-21 N and follow it for about 8 miles. Look for Co Rd 406 on your left. Turn onto Co Rd 406 and drive for approximately 2 miles until you reach the parking area for Hawksbill Crag/Whitaker Point. Please note that there are no fees for parking.

There is limited public transportation in the Arkansas Highland area. However, you can take a bus to Kingston, AR. Once in Kingston, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to Co Rd 406, as it is approximately 8 miles from the bus stop. There may be a fee for the taxi or rideshare service, typically ranging from $15 to $30 depending on the distance and service provider.

Hiking
After parking your vehicle on Co Rd 406, you will need to hike approximately 1.5 miles to reach Hawksbill Crag. Follow the marked trail which is well-maintained but can be steep in some sections. Be prepared with appropriate footwear and water, and allow about 30-45 minutes for the hike to enjoy the stunning views along the way.
