Public transportation options to the Ouachita National Forest are limited. However, regional bus services and Amtrak serve nearby towns such as Hot Springs and Mena, AR. From these towns, renting a car is recommended to access the forest's various attractions. Taxi or rideshare services from Hot Springs to the edge of the forest may cost $30-$50. Once inside the forest, there is no public transportation.
