Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From the main bus terminal in Oranjestad, take a bus towards the hotel area. De Palm Island and Palm Pleasure, where SNUBA tours are offered, are accessible from various points along the hotel strip. Bus fare is approximately $2.50 USD per person for a round trip.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are readily available in Oranjestad and can take you to De Palm Island or Palm Pleasure. A taxi ride from the city center to these locations will cost approximately $21 USD. Note that there may be a surcharge of $3 USD on Sundays, official holidays, or between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

  • Parking

    If driving, paid parking is available in Oranjestad. Parking is enforced Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Hourly rates are approximately 2 AWG (Aruban Florin) which is equivalent to $1.14 USD. Be sure to park in designated white-lined spaces, as yellow-lined spaces are for permit holders only.

SNUBA offers a unique opportunity to explore Aruba's underwater world without the need for heavy scuba gear or extensive training. It's a hybrid activity that combines the simplicity of snorkeling with the immersive experience of scuba diving, allowing participants to breathe easily underwater and discover marine life. Located off the coast of Oranjestad, SNUBA tours take place in carefully selected dive sites known for their clear waters and abundant sea life. Participants can expect to see colorful coral reefs, schools of tropical fish, and other fascinating underwater creatures. The experience is led by professionally trained guides who provide instruction and ensure the safety of all participants. SNUBA is available through De Palm Island and Palm Pleasure. The SNUBA experience typically lasts about an hour, including a briefing session. The maximum depth is about 20 feet (6 meters). Participants must be at least 8 years old. Certain health conditions may require a doctor's letter for participation, including pregnancy, recent surgery, high blood pressure, epilepsy, seizures, or asthma. It is not allowed to consume alcohol before joining this activity.
