Discover more about Boca Prins

Boca Prins is a captivating beach located inside Arikok National Park, on the rugged northeastern coast of Aruba. Named after a former plantation, it presents a stark contrast to the island's calmer western beaches. Here, you'll find towering white sand dunes cascading down to a small beach enclosed by dramatic limestone cliffs. The beach itself is relatively small, measuring only about 55 meters in length. The turquoise waters are visually stunning, but swimming is generally unsafe due to the strong, persistent undertows and crashing waves. Instead, Boca Prins is best enjoyed for its scenic beauty and adventurous atmosphere. Photographers will find endless inspiration in the contrasting colors and textures, from the pink-tinged sand to the deep blue ocean. Hiking enthusiasts can explore the Boca Prins – Dos Playa Loop Trail, a moderately challenging route that winds through the dunes and along the coast to Dos Playa. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, such as iguanas and various bird species. Boca Prins offers a glimpse into Aruba's natural history. The area was once part of Plantage Prins, a coconut plantation. Today, the landscape is dominated by native vegetation adapted to the arid climate. While there are no facilities directly on the beach, the nearby Arikok National Park Visitor Center provides restrooms and information. Remember to bring your own water and snacks, as there are no vendors in the immediate vicinity.
