Discover more about Arashi Beach

Arashi Beach, situated on the northwestern coast of Aruba near the California Lighthouse, is a picturesque beach renowned for its tranquil atmosphere and clear turquoise waters. The beach boasts a long, wide stretch of soft, white sand, making it ideal for sunbathing, swimming, and leisurely strolls. Arashi Beach is particularly popular for snorkeling, especially on the left side of the beach where a rich underwater life thrives. Beginner snorkelers can explore the gentle currents and discover schools of colorful fish. More experienced snorkelers can venture to the right side of the beach, but should exercise caution due to potentially rougher conditions. The beach offers a range of amenities, including palapas for shade, a bar, showers, and a spacious parking area. Beach huts are available free of charge, but they tend to get claimed quickly. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are also available for rent. Arashi is easily accessible by car, bus, or taxi. Historically, the area holds significance as a former gathering place for conch diving by the Caquetio people. The name 'Arashi' itself is believed to have indigenous origins, potentially meaning 'bonefish' in Papiamento or 'head of the people'. Today, Arashi Beach continues to be a beloved spot for both locals and tourists seeking a peaceful and scenic beach experience.
