Discover more about Grapefield Beach

Grapefield Beach presents a different side of Aruba, far from the bustling resort areas. Located near San Nicolas, this secluded beach offers a rugged, natural beauty with its expansive shoreline, cliffs, and constant trade winds. Unlike the calm, turquoise waters of Aruba's western beaches, Grapefield is known for its stronger waves and currents, making it a popular spot for experienced kite surfers and windsurfers. Swimming is generally not recommended due to the powerful currents. Instead, visitors can enjoy peaceful walks along the beach, beachcombing, and taking in the unspoiled scenery. Grapefield Beach is also known as a quiet beach that is about 600 meters long. Looking to the north the beach further continues for about a kilometer to Rincon Bay where the beach ends. The beach is not a frequently visited one, offering a private experience. Once, the area was filled with sea grape plants, giving the beach its name, but they have mostly vanished over time. A few abandoned fishing shacks add to the beach's unique character. The Vader Piet Wind Farm can be seen to the north, while the landscapes of Sero Colorado Plateau lie to the south.
