Getting There

• Bus

  If you are near the Brisbane Central Station, you can catch the bus number 199 or 196 from the bus stop located outside the station. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Disembark at the South Bank Bus Station, which is near the cultural precinct. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk. Head towards the Queensland Art Gallery, then walk along Grey Street until you reach the corner of Grey and Melbourne Street, where the Queensland Museum Kurilpa is located.

• City Cat Ferry

  Head to the nearest City Cat ferry terminal, such as the Brisbane City Ferry Terminal at Eagle Street Pier. Take the City Cat heading towards the South Bank terminal. The ferry ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Once you arrive at the South Bank terminal, exit onto the riverwalk, and follow the path along the river until you reach the Queensland Museum Kurilpa, which is about a 10-minute walk from the terminal. You will need to cross over Melbourne Street to reach the museum.

• Walking

  If you are already in South Bank, walking is a delightful way to get to the Queensland Museum Kurilpa. From the South Bank Parklands, walk east towards the Grey Street. Take a left onto Grey Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Melbourne Street. The museum is right on that corner, and it should take you about 15 minutes to walk from the parklands.

• Train

  If you are near a train station, take any train heading towards the South Brisbane station. Once you arrive at South Brisbane station, exit and head southeast on Melbourne Street. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Grey Street. The Queensland Museum Kurilpa will be on your right at the corner.
