Car
Start from Jindabyne, which is the nearest town with amenities. Drive along the Kosciuszko Road (B40) heading toward Kosciuszko National Park. Enter the park at the Thredbo entrance and continue on the Alpine Way. Look for signs directing you to the Thredbo Resort. Park your car at the Thredbo Resort car park. From here, proceed on the Thredbo Valley Track.

From the Thredbo Resort car park, follow the Thredbo Valley Track, which leads you toward the base of Mount Kosciuszko. This is a well-marked walking path. After approximately 6 km, you will reach the Summit Walk. Follow the Summit Walk trail signs that lead you to Seamans Hut.
