Car
If you are traveling by car within Mount Field National Park, navigate to the entrance of the park located off the Lyell Highway (A10). Once inside the park, follow the signs towards the Visitor Centre. After visiting the Centre, continue on the main park road, which leads to the Horseshoe Falls trailhead. Park your car at the designated parking area near the falls. The walk to Horseshoe Falls from the parking area is approximately 20 minutes along a well-marked walking track.

Public Transportation
To reach Mount Field National Park via public transportation, take a bus from Hobart to the town of New Norfolk. From New Norfolk, you will need to transfer to a service heading towards Mount Field. Once you arrive at the park entrance, follow the directions for car travelers to reach the Visitor Centre. From the Centre, you can walk to the Horseshoe Falls via the walking track. The walk takes about 20 minutes. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as services may be limited.

If you are already within Mount Field National Park, whether from the Visitor Centre or another point, follow the signs to the Horseshoe Falls walking track. The track is a loop of approximately 1.2 km (0.75 miles) and is suitable for most fitness levels. It will take about 20 minutes to reach the falls.
