Public Bus
From Port Douglas, walk to the nearest bus stop at the intersection of Port Douglas Road and Davidson Street. Catch the local bus towards Mossman. The bus will take you along the scenic Captain Cook Highway. Get off at the 'Mowbray National Park' stop. From there, it’s a short walk to the entrance of Mowbray National Park (Recovery). Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance for the most current times.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in Port Douglas. Head north on Port Douglas Road and follow it towards Mossman. Enjoy the beautiful scenery as you ride. When you reach the intersection with Mowbray Road, turn left. Continue on Mowbray Road until you see the signs for Mowbray National Park (Recovery). The park entrance will be on your right. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow local cycling laws.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and have the energy, you can walk to Mowbray National Park (Recovery). Start from the main street in Port Douglas and head north along Port Douglas Road. The walk is approximately 5 kilometers and will take about an hour. After about 3 kilometers, you will reach the junction with Mowbray Road. Turn left onto Mowbray Road, and continue for another 2 kilometers until you reach the park entrance on your right.
