If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards Mole Creek from your current location in the Tasmanian Wilderness. The Alum Cliffs are located off the Alum Cliffs Track. From Mole Creek, take the B12 road (Chudleigh Road) heading south. After approximately 10 kilometers, turn right onto Alum Cliffs Track. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach the car park. Note that the track itself is a short walk from the car park to the lookout, so wear comfortable shoes and prepare for a scenic hike.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Launceston to Mole Creek. Once you arrive at Mole Creek, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Alum Cliffs Track. The taxi ride is approximately 10 minutes. Ensure you check the bus schedules in advance, as they may not run frequently. Also, consider the taxi costs, which may range from AUD 20 to AUD 30 depending on the service.

The hike to the lookout from the car park is about 1.5 kilometers one way and takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes, offering stunning views once you reach the top.
