Getting there

Car

If you are driving from central Ötztal, take the B186 road towards Sölden. Continue for about 20 kilometers until you reach Sölden. Once in Sölden, follow signs for the Giggijochbahn (cable car station). From the Giggijochbahn, follow the road to Hainbachkar 3, where Schwarzkogl is located. There is parking available near the cable car station, but be aware that there may be a fee for parking.

Public Transportation

To reach Schwarzkogl using public transportation, take the Ötztalbahn train from your location in Ötztal to Sölden station. From Sölden station, you can take a local bus (Bus Line 1) towards the Giggijochbahn station. Once you arrive at the Giggijochbahn, you can either hike up to Schwarzkogl, which will take about 30 minutes, or take the gondola lift to the top. The lift ticket costs approximately €10 for a round trip.

Hiking

If you are feeling adventurous and prefer hiking, you can start from the Giggijochbahn station and follow the marked hiking trails. The hike to Schwarzkogl offers stunning views and takes around 1 hour. Be sure to wear appropriate hiking boots and bring water.
