Walking
Mozart's Birthplace is located in Getreidegasse, in the heart of Salzburg's Old Town. From Salzburg Cathedral or Mozartplatz, walk east along Getreidegasse, a pedestrian-only street known for its unique shops and wrought-iron signs. The museum is situated on the right-hand side at Getreidegasse 9. Walking is the most convenient way to reach the museum from most central locations.

Public Transport
Salzburg's public transport system includes buses and trolleybuses. Several bus lines stop near Mozart's Birthplace. The closest bus stops are Rathaus and Mozartsteg. From either stop, it's a short walk to Getreidegasse and the museum. A single ticket costs €3.00 if purchased on board, or less if purchased in advance via the Salzburg Verkehr App. Note that from May 1, 2025, tourists may be eligible for free public transport with the 'Guest Mobility Ticket' provided by their accommodation.
