Walking
If you are starting from Salzburg's Main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head southwest towards the main street, called Bayerhamerstraße. Continue straight on Bayerhamerstraße for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Innsbrucker Bundesstraße. Cross the street and continue walking straight onto the pedestrian area. You will see the Mirabell Palace on your right. Keep walking straight, and you will eventually reach the Salzach River. Follow the riverbank heading south until you see the Gstättentor on your left at Bürgerspitalplatz. The walk will take approximately 20-30 minutes.

From the Main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof), you can take the bus. Board bus line 3 or 5 from the station. Ride for two stops and get off at the 'Bürgerspitalplatz' stop. From there, Gstättentor is just a short 2-minute walk. Exit the bus and walk towards the end of the street; Gstättentor will be visible within a few meters on your left.
