  • Walking

    Mozart's Birthplace is located in the heart of Salzburg's Old Town, in Getreidegasse. From Salzburg Cathedral, head southwest on Domplatz towards the Old Market (Alter Markt). Continue through the Old Market and turn left onto Getreidegasse. Walk down the street until you find number 9 on your left. The walk is less than 5 minutes. From Mirabell Gardens, walk towards the Salzach River, cross the Makartsteg bridge, and follow signs to Getreidegasse. The museum will be on your right.

  • Public Transport

    From Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take bus lines 1, 4, 7, 8, 10, 23, 24, 27, or 28 to the Hanuschplatz stop or bus lines 1, 8, 10, 23, 24, or 28 to Herbert-von-Karajan-Platz. From Hanuschplatz, walk into Getreidegasse and you will find Mozart's Birthplace on your left. From Herbert-von-Karajan-Platz, walk along the Hofstallgasse and turn into Getreidegasse. The museum will be on your right. A single bus fare is between €1 and €2.
