If you are near the Stephansplatz metro station (U1 and U3 lines), take the U3 (the orange line) in the direction of Volkstheater. Get off at the next stop, which is the Herrengasse station. From Herrengasse, exit the station and walk west along Herrengasse until you reach Am Hof square. It should take about 5 minutes on foot.
