Getting There

  • U-Bahn

    Start at any U-Bahn station in Vienna. If you are near Stephansplatz (U1 and U3 lines), take the U1 train towards Rechnitz. Get off at the 'Karlsplatz' station. Here, transfer to the U4 line (green line) and take the train towards Heiligenstadt. Get off at the 'Schwedenplatz' station.

  • Tram

    From Schwedenplatz, exit the station and find the tram stops. Take tram number 1 towards 'Praterstern'. Ride for two stops and get off at 'Schwedenplatz'.

  • Walking

    Once you get off at Schwedenplatz, head southeast towards the Danube Canal. Walk along the riverbank until you reach Am Gestade street. Hannakenbrunnen is located directly along this street, close to the canal. The sculpture is near the water and is easily recognizable.
