From Berchtesgaden, take bus line 843 directly to Schönau am Königssee. The bus departs from the Berchtesgaden Busbahnhof (ZOB) and arrives at Rathaus Unterstein in Schönau. The journey takes approximately 7 minutes. From Rathaus Unterstein, it's a short walk to the Königssee. A single bus fare is approximately €2 for adults and €1 for children if you don't have a guest card. With the guest card provided by accommodations, the bus ride is free.
