Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the center of Paro town. Head east on the Airport Road (National Highway 2) for about 5 km until you reach the junction at Paro Dzong. From there, take a left turn onto the road leading to Taktshang Monastery. Follow the signs for Taktshang Monastery, and after approximately 10 km, you will see a sign for Taktshang Paradise Hotel on your right. The hotel is located at Paro Tsento Shari, which is a short drive from the Taktshang Monastery parking area.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Taktshang Paradise Hotel using public transportation, start from Paro town by taking a local taxi or a shared taxi (often referred to as a 'taxi-bus') to the Taktshang Monastery parking area. The fare will typically be around 300-500 Ngultrum. Once you arrive at the parking area, the hotel is approximately a 15-minute walk from there. Follow the path that leads down from the parking area towards the hotel. Be sure to ask the driver to drop you off at Taktshang Monastery if you're unsure.

• Hiking

  If you are feeling adventurous and enjoy hiking, you can hike from the Taktshang Monastery parking area to Taktshang Paradise Hotel. The hike will take about 1 hour and is a scenic route, with beautiful views of the valley. Start at the parking area and follow the trail that winds down towards the hotel. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and carry water, especially if you are not used to hiking.
