From Punakha Valley, head towards Wangdue Phodrang on the Puna Tsang Chhu (Wangdue) Highway. This scenic drive takes about 30 minutes. Once you reach Wangdue, look for signs directing you to Paro. Continue on the highway for approximately 2 hours until you reach the town of Paro. In Paro, follow the signs to Drukgyel Dzong, which is about 14 km north of the town center. The drive up to Drukgyel Dzong offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. There is no entrance fee to visit the Dzong.
