Walking
If you are in Thimphu, start by heading towards the main bus station located at the center of Thimphu. From the bus station, take a local bus heading to Paro. The bus journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Paro bus terminal, exit the bus and walk towards the main road. Continue walking straight for about 10-15 minutes until you see a sign for the National Museum of Bhutan on your left. Follow the sign, and you will reach the museum entrance.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Thimphu. Once you have your bike, head towards the Thimphu-Paro highway. Follow the highway for approximately 30 kilometers towards Paro. The ride will take around 2 hours. As you approach Paro, look for signs indicating the National Museum. The museum will be located on a hill to your right as you enter Paro. Secure your bicycle at the entrance and enjoy your visit.

Hiking
For the adventurous, you can hike from Thimphu to Paro. Start your hike from the Takin Preserve in Thimphu, heading towards the mountain trail that leads to Paro. This trail is approximately 25 kilometers long and will take around 6-8 hours depending on your fitness level. Follow the trail markers, and once you reach Paro, head towards the National Museum, which is located on a hill. The hike offers stunning views of the valley, making it a memorable journey.
