Getting There

Walking
From the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, head east toward the main road. Continue on the main road for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection. Turn right at the intersection and follow the road as it curves around the hills. Keep walking for approximately 25 minutes until you reach the bus station in Wangdue. From there, catch a bus heading to Paro. The bus ride will take around 1.5 hours. Once in Paro, ask the locals for directions to the National Museum, which is a short 10-minute walk from the bus drop-off point.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Wangdue Phodrang. Start at the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong and cycle east on the main road for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection. Turn right and continue cycling for about 30 minutes through picturesque scenery. You will eventually reach Paro. Once in Paro, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the National Museum, which is located approximately 10 minutes away from the main road.

Hiking
Begin your hike at the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong. Follow the path that leads northeast up the hills. After about 1 hour of hiking, you will connect with a dirt road that leads to Paro. Follow the road for another 1.5 to 2 hours until you reach the outskirts of Paro. From there, head downhill toward the town center. The National Museum is situated about a 10-minute walk from the main road in Paro, so ask for directions if needed.
