Located within the Serra dos Órgãos National Park, this viewpoint provides a stunning panorama of the region's dramatic landscape. The name, which translates to 'Hell's Lookout,' might sound intimidating, but it refers more to the challenging trek required to reach it than to the scenery itself. The main attraction is the Agulha do Diabo, a striking rock formation considered one of the world's most spectacular mountains. From the Mirante do Inferno, you can witness the daring climbs on this imposing peak and admire other impressive formations from unique angles. The views extend across the Paquequer River valley, Morro da Cruz, Verruga do Frade, and even as far as Guanabara Bay on a clear day. The path winds along the Paquequer River's source, through dense forests, and over steep, rocky terrain. Be prepared for stream crossings, scrambles, and potentially muddy conditions. While the initial section overlaps with the trail to Pedra do Sino, the route to Mirante do Inferno soon diverges and becomes more challenging, with some poorly marked sections.
