Look for parking areas near the monastery, and from there, you can walk to the cave, which is situated on the hillside.

To reach the Cave of Saint John of Rila using public transport, start at the bus station in Malyovitsa. Catch a bus heading towards Rila Monastery. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Rila Monastery stop, disembark and follow the signs directing you to the Cave of Saint John of Rila. It is a short walk uphill from the monastery, taking about 15-20 minutes on foot.
