If you are driving from Sofia, take the A1 highway towards Varna. After approximately 350 km, take the exit toward Provadia (exit 43). Follow the signs for Provadia and continue straight for about 10 km. As you enter the town, follow the signs for Ovech Fortress, which is located on a hill above the town. There is a parking area available near the base of the fortress.

If you are coming from Varna, take the A2 highway towards Sofia. After around 60 km, take the exit toward Provadia (exit 43). Follow the road into Provadia and look for signs indicating Ovech Fortress. The fortress is situated on a hill, and you can park at the base before walking up.

Public Transportation
From Sofia, you can take a train to Provadia. The journey takes about 6 hours. Upon arrival at Provadia train station, you can take a taxi to Ovech Fortress, which is about 3 km away. Alternatively, you can walk to the fortress, which will take around 30-40 minutes.
