    From Rila, head southeast on the main road (E79) toward Rilski Manastir. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach Rila Monastery. Continue past the monastery for another 2 kilometers until you reach a small parking area. Park your car here, as this is the nearest parking to the cave. From the parking area, you will see a marked trail leading up to The Cave of Saint John of Rila. The hike takes about 30 minutes and is moderately steep, so wear comfortable shoes.

    Start at the Rila bus station. Take a bus heading to Rila Monastery (Rilski Manastir). The bus ride will take about 30 minutes.
