Car
From Rila, head southeast on the main road (E79) toward Rilski Manastir. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach Rila Monastery. Continue past the monastery for another 2 kilometers until you reach a small parking area. Park your car here, as this is the nearest parking to the cave. From the parking area, you will see a marked trail leading up to The Cave of Saint John of Rila. The hike takes about 30 minutes and is moderately steep, so wear comfortable shoes.
