From Sofia city center, take the Sofia Metro Line 2 to Vitosha Metro Station. From there, several bus lines provide access to different parts of Vitosha Park. Bus 66 will take you to Aleko area. Bus 63 will take you to Zlatnite Mostove (Golden Bridges). Bus 64 will take you to Boyana. A single ride on public transport costs 1.60 BGN. A one-day card for unlimited travel on all public transport lines costs 4 BGN.

Taxis are readily available in Sofia and can take you directly to various trailheads or attractions within Vitosha Park, such as Dragalevtsi Monastery or Aleko Hut. A taxi ride from the city center to Dragalevtsi Monastery typically costs between 9 and 11 BGN. To Aleko Hut, expect to pay a higher fare, potentially around 20-30 BGN. Always confirm the rate with the driver before starting your journey.

From the Dragalevtsi Monastery, you can walk further into Vitosha Park. Follow the marked trails towards the mountain. The hike from Dragalevtsi Monastery to the Nature Protection Information Center Vitosha takes about 5 minutes. There is no fee to enter Vitosha Park.
