    From Bujumbura Rural, head northeast on Route Nationale 1 (RN1) towards Ruyigi. Continue driving for approximately 70 kilometers until you reach the intersection near the town of Ruyigi. Turn left onto Route Nationale 15 (RN15) and follow the signs for Ruvubu National Park. After about 30 kilometers, you will find the entrance to the park on your right. Be aware that the roads may be unpaved and bumpy, so drive cautiously.

    To reach Ruvubu National Park via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Bujumbura to Ruyigi. Buses leave frequently from the central bus station in Bujumbura and the fare is around 1,500 Burundian Francs. The journey takes about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Ruyigi, look for a shared taxi or motorbike taxi (known as 'boda-boda') to take you to the entrance of Ruvubu National Park, which is about 30 kilometers away. The fare for the taxi should be around 3,000 to 5,000 Burundian Francs.
