Walking
From the center of Kirundo, head southwest towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue straight on this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with Avenue du 1er Novembre. Turn left onto Avenue du 1er Novembre and walk for about 500 meters. You will see signs directing you towards Nyanza. Follow these signs, which will lead you onto a smaller road. Continue straight for approximately 2 kilometers, passing by local shops and homes. You will then arrive at the Nyanza Genocide Memorial, which is situated at JPMR+9JG.

Bicycle
Start from the main square in Kirundo. Cycle southwest along Avenue de l'Indépendance for about 1 kilometer. At the intersection with Avenue du 1er Novembre, turn left and continue cycling for about 500 meters. Look for road signs that guide you towards Nyanza. Take the smaller road that branches off and cycle straight for another 2 kilometers. You will reach your destination at the Nyanza Genocide Memorial, located at JPMR+9JG.

Begin at the main bus station in Kirundo. Look for a bus heading towards Nyanza; these buses usually depart every 30 minutes. Once you board, inform the driver that you’re headed to Nyanza Genocide Memorial. The bus ride should take around 30 minutes.
