Bus
From Daly City, head to the nearest bus stop on Mission Street. Take SamTrans Bus Route 120 towards 'Sausalito'. This route will take you to the nearby Mill Valley area. Make sure to stay aboard for about 30 minutes. Once you reach the Mill Valley Depot, disembark and transfer to the Marin Transit Route 61. This bus will take you closer to Mount Tamalpais State Park. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the 'Mount Tamalpais' stop. From there, follow the signs to the park entrance, which is about a 10-minute walk.

Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Daly City. Start your journey by biking along Junipero Serra Blvd heading north. Continue until you reach the intersection with El Camino Real. Turn left onto El Camino Real and continue straight. After about 5 miles, you will reach Mill Valley. Follow the signs for 'Mount Tamalpais' which will guide you to the park entrance. The bike ride takes approximately 1.5 hours depending on your pace.

Walking
If you're near the Daly City BART station, start by taking the BART train towards the 'Daly City' direction. Once you arrive in Mill Valley, you can begin your hike towards Mount Tamalpais. From the station, walk up to the nearest bus stop and take the Marin Transit Route 61 bus. Get off at the 'Mount Tamalpais' stop and follow the trail signs that lead into the park. This is a longer journey and is not recommended unless you're prepared for a day of walking, as it can take several hours.
