Car
If you are traveling by car within Joshua Tree National Park, head towards the town of Twentynine Palms. From the Joshua Tree Entrance Station, continue on Park Boulevard until you reach the junction with Highway 62. Turn left (east) onto Highway 62 and drive for approximately 7 miles. You will see signs for Twentynine Palms. Continue straight until you arrive at 6533 Freedom Way, where you will find the Joshua Tree National Park Visitor Center on your left. There is no entrance fee to visit the Visitor Center itself.

If you are utilizing public transportation, you can take the Morongo Basin Transit Authority (MBTA) bus service from nearby towns like Joshua Tree or Yucca Valley to Twentynine Palms. Check the MBTA schedule for the most current routes and times. Once you arrive in Twentynine Palms, you will need to walk or take a local taxi service to reach the Visitor Center at 6533 Freedom Way, which is approximately 1 mile from the bus stop. Please be aware that the bus service may have limited hours, so plan accordingly.
