Walking
If you are starting from the center of Joshua Tree, head east on Highway 62. After about 3.5 miles, you will reach the intersection with Utah Trail. Turn left onto Utah Trail and follow it for approximately 5 miles until you reach the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. Continue into the park and follow the signs toward Twentynine Palms. Once you reach the intersection with Twentynine Palms Highway (CA-62), turn left. Follow this road for about 2 miles. At the junction with Adobe Road, turn left. Continue on Adobe Road for about 1 mile, then turn right onto a dirt road that leads to the Wonderland Ranch Ruins. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the final stretch may be rugged.

Biking
From the Joshua Tree Visitor Center, rent a bike and start by heading east on Highway 62. Bike approximately 3.5 miles to Utah Trail, where you will turn left. Continue biking along Utah Trail for about 5 miles until reaching the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. Once inside, follow the signs for Twentynine Palms. When you reach Twentynine Palms Highway (CA-62), turn left and bike for around 2 miles. At Adobe Road, turn left and bike about 1 mile. Take the right onto the dirt road that leads to the Wonderland Ranch Ruins. Be prepared for a mix of terrain, and ensure your bike is suitable for off-road paths.
