Public Transportation
From San Leandro, take the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at the Embarcadero Station. Transfer to the Muni bus route 30 or 70, which will take you to the Golden Gate Bridge. From there, you can catch a shuttle or an Uber to Mount Tamalpais State Park. Alternatively, you can take a bus to Marin City and then a local bus to Mill Valley, followed by another bus that goes to the park.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in San Leandro. Head north towards the Bay Trail, following the path along the water. Once you reach the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, continue over the bridge and head towards Marin County. From there, follow signs for Mount Tamalpais State Park. Be prepared for a challenging ride, as the terrain can get steep.
