From the Transit Center, it's a short walk to the statue. Alternatively, the Muni 43 bus goes directly to the Presidio Transit Center. Muni 30 provides service to Crissy Field, from where you can connect to the Presidio GO Shuttle or walk to the statue. The Presidio GO Shuttle is free. Muni fares are approximately $3 per ride.

If driving from San Francisco, take US-101 North towards the Golden Gate Bridge. Take the last San Francisco exit before the toll plaza, marked 'Golden Gate National Recreation Area/View Area.' Turn left at the stop sign into the southeast side visitor parking lot. The Joseph Strauss Statue is a short walk from the parking lot. Parking costs $5 per hour, with a maximum of 3 hours. Parking is limited, especially on weekends and holidays.
