Public Transit
From Santa Clara, make your way to the nearest VTA Light Rail station. You can take the VTA Light Rail Line 901 towards Mountain View. Ride the train until you reach the Mountain View station, which is approximately a 25-minute ride. Once you arrive at Mountain View, transfer to the Caltrain. Take the Caltrain towards San Francisco and get off at the Santa Cruz stop. After exiting the station, you can catch a local bus or ride-sharing service to Santa Cruz Harbor located at 135 5th Ave, Santa Cruz, CA 95062.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Santa Clara. Begin your journey by heading southwest on El Camino Real which eventually becomes CA-17 S. Follow the bike lanes through the city and continue towards Santa Cruz. The ride is around 30 miles, so plan for a 2-3 hour journey depending on your pace. Upon arrival in Santa Cruz, navigate to 5th Ave where you will find the Santa Cruz Harbor.

For those feeling adventurous and fit, you can start your journey on foot from central Santa Clara. Head towards San Tomas Expressway and follow it south until it merges with CA-17 S. This is a long walk, approximately 30 miles, so it’s recommended to break it into segments, resting at local parks or coffee shops. Once you reach Santa Cruz, you can find your way to 5th Ave where the Santa Cruz Harbor is located. Remember to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!
