Getting There

  • Hiking

    If you are hiking from the Giant Forest area, start at the Giant Forest Museum. Follow the trail towards the Crescent Meadow. This will lead you through beautiful groves of giant sequoias. After about 1.5 miles, look for the signs directing you to the Lodgepole area. Continue on the trail, and you will eventually reach the scenic Lodgepole Campground. The Lodgepole Visitor Center is a short walk from the campground. Follow Lodgepole Road to the center, which is about 0.5 miles away.

  • Shuttle Service

    During the summer season, the Sequoia Shuttle operates between various points in Sequoia National Park. If you're near the Giant Forest Museum or the Lodgepole Campground, catch the shuttle heading towards Lodgepole. Confirm the shuttle schedule at the Visitor Center or on the NPS website. The shuttle will drop you off right at the Lodgepole Visitor Center.
