Driving
From Truckee, take Highway 89 south for approximately 13 miles. Turn right onto Alpine Meadows Road and follow it to the end. The main parking lot for the Alpine Base Area will be on your right. Parking is free on weekdays, but reservations are required on weekends and holidays; these can be made in advance online for $30. Free parking reservations are released each Tuesday for the upcoming weekend. Be sure to check road conditions during winter months.

From Tahoe City, take the TART (Tahoe Area Regional Transit) bus towards Alpine Meadows. The bus will drop you off near the base area. Check the TART schedule for specific timings and stops. A single ride costs around $2-$4. Alternatively, from the Village at Palisades Tahoe, you can take the free inter-resort shuttle to Alpine Meadows. The Mountaineer shuttle offers free, on-demand transportation within Alpine Meadows.
