Start at Walnut Creek BART station. Take the BART train towards Pittsburg/Bay Point. Get off at the Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre station. From there, transfer to the County Connection bus route 5, heading towards 'Walnut Creek.' Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Castle Rock Rd & Mt. Diablo Blvd.' From the bus stop, walk north on Castle Rock Rd for about 15 minutes until you reach Castle Rock Regional Recreation Area.
