Getting There

  • Walking

    Start your journey at the Walnut Creek BART station located at 200 Ygnacio Valley Rd, Walnut Creek, CA 94596. Exit the station and head north on Ygnacio Valley Rd. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with N Main St. Turn left onto N Main St and walk for approximately 0.2 miles. You will come across the entrance to the Iron Horse Regional Trail. Enter the trail and walk southeast for about 1.5 miles. Follow the signs directing you toward the Diablo Foothills Regional Park. The trail will eventually lead you to Castle Rock Rd. Continue on Castle Rock Rd for about 0.5 miles until you reach the park entrance at 1700 Castle Rock Rd. Enjoy your visit!

  • Public Transit

    From the Walnut Creek BART station, take the 4X bus (the express bus service) towards Concord. After about a 10-minute ride, get off at the stop at Castle Rock Rd and Ygnacio Valley Rd. From there, walk east along Castle Rock Rd for about 0.3 miles. You will see the entrance to Diablo Foothills Regional Park at 1700 Castle Rock Rd. The park is on your left side.

    If you prefer biking, start at the Walnut Creek BART station and head north on Ygnacio Valley Rd. After about 0.5 miles, turn left onto N Main St. Continue for about 0.2 miles and then turn right to enter the Iron Horse Regional Trail. Bike southeast along the trail for 1.5 miles, following the signs to Diablo Foothills Regional Park. When you reach Castle Rock Rd, turn left and continue biking for about 0.5 miles until you arrive at the park entrance at 1700 Castle Rock Rd.
