Getting There

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    From Walnut Creek BART station, take the County Connection Bus #10 towards Concord. Get off at the stop at 'Ygnacio Valley Rd & Oak Grove Rd'. From there, transfer to Bus #5 towards Martinez. Get off at 'Walnut Creek & Mt Diablo Blvd'. From this stop, you can walk to the trailhead leading to Mt Diablo HG/PG LZ. It's about a 30-minute walk from the bus stop, heading east on Mt Diablo Blvd and then following signs to the park.

  • Biking

    If you're comfortable biking, rent a bike in Walnut Creek and head towards Mt Diablo. Start from downtown Walnut Creek, head east on Mt Diablo Blvd, and continue straight onto Ygnacio Valley Rd. Follow the signs for Mt Diablo State Park. It's approximately a 6-mile ride and will take about 30-40 minutes. Make sure to have a bike lock, as you'll want to secure your bike at the LZ.
