Travel Guide to Memorial bench

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Walnut Creek BART Station, exit the station and head east on Bonanza Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn left on Main Street and walk north until you reach the intersection with Mt. Diablo Blvd. Cross the street and continue on Main Street until it turns into a pedestrian walkway. Follow the walkway to Civic Park. Once in Civic Park, head towards the north end of the park, where you'll find a trail leading to the Jeep Trail. Follow the Jeep Trail until you reach the Memorial bench, which is located along the trail.

• Public Transit (Bus)

  From the Walnut Creek BART Station, take the County Connection bus #4 towards the Walnut Creek Library. Get off at the stop on North Main Street at the intersection with Olympic Blvd. From there, walk east on Olympic Blvd until you reach Civic Park. Enter the park and follow the path to the north end where the trail begins. This trail will lead you to the Jeep Trail. Continue along the Jeep Trail until you find the Memorial bench.

• Biking

  If you have access to a bike, you can start from the Walnut Creek BART Station. Head east on Bonanza Street, then turn left onto Main Street. Follow Main Street north until you reach Mt. Diablo Blvd, then turn right. Continue on Mt. Diablo Blvd until you reach Civic Park. Enter Civic Park and look for the path leading north. Follow this path to connect to the Jeep Trail. Ride along the Jeep Trail, and you will find the Memorial bench along the route.
