After about 170 kilometers, take the exit towards Pica. Follow the signs for Pica and continue on the main road for about 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Pica. Once in Pica, follow the signs for Quebrada de Chacarilla, which is approximately 10 kilometers east of the town center. The road may be unpaved, so drive cautiously.

For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Iquique to Pica. Buses depart regularly from the Iquique bus terminal and the journey takes about 2-3 hours. Once in Pica, you can take a local taxi or request a ride with a local driver to reach Quebrada de Chacarilla, which is about 10 kilometers away from the town center. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting the trip, which should generally be around 5,000 to 10,000 CLP.
