Public Transport
To reach the Mines Museum of Earth Science via public transportation from downtown Denver, take the RTD W Line towards Golden. Get off at the Golden Station. From there, take the 3 or 5 bus routes towards the museum. Get off at the stop closest to Maple Street, then walk about 5-10 minutes to reach the museum at 1310 Maple St. Check the RTD website for the latest schedules and fares, which typically range from $3 to $5.

If traveling by car from Denver, take I-70 W and exit at 265 for CO-58 W toward Golden. Continue on CO-58 W until it merges with US-6 W. Follow US-6 W to 19th Street in Golden. Turn left onto 19th Street, then right onto Maple Street. The museum will be on your left. There are fee-based visitor parking spots outside of the main museum entrance. Parking is free on weekends. On weekdays, you must pay to use any visitor parking space using the kiosks outside of either entrance to the museum. Additional fee-based parking is available in the garage on the south side of the museum building and the small north side lot behind the museum. Parking costs $5-$10.

Ore Cart Shuttle
The Ore Cart is a free shuttle service connecting the Colorado School of Mines campus, downtown Golden, and beyond. Operated as a partnership between Mines and the City of Golden, the Ore Cart is free for all riders and ADA accessible. It complements existing transit options in the Golden area, including the RTD 17 bus and W train line. There is a stop conveniently located next to the museum.
