    From downtown Golden, walk east on 13th Street towards the Colorado School of Mines campus. Turn right onto Maple Street and continue south. The Mines Museum of Earth Science is located in the General Research Laboratory (GRL) building at 1310 Maple Street. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes. No cost involved.

  • Public Transport

    From the RTD light rail station in downtown Denver, take the W Line towards Golden. Get off at the Golden Station. From there, transfer to the Ore Cart, a free shuttle service connecting the campus, downtown Golden, and the RTD lines. Alternatively, from the Golden Station, you can take the 3 or 5 bus routes towards the museum. Get off at the stop closest to Maple Street, then walk about 5-10 minutes to reach the museum at 1310 Maple St. RTD fares typically range from $3 to $5.

  • Driving

    From Denver, take I-70 W and exit at 265 for CO-58 W toward Golden. Continue on CO-58 W until it merges with US-6 W. Follow US-6 W to 19th Street in Golden. Turn left onto 19th Street, then right onto Maple Street. The museum will be on your left at 1310 Maple St. Parking is available in the garage on the south side of the museum building. Parking costs $10 before 2 PM and $5 after 2 PM on weekdays. Parking is free on weekends.
