If you are traveling by car, start by navigating to I-25 N. Depending on your starting location in Southern Colorado, you can take CO-50 W from places like Pueblo. Merge onto I-25 N and continue for approximately 30 miles. Take exit 217B to merge onto I-70 W toward Grand Junction. Stay on I-70 W for about 60 miles. Take exit 263 for W 44th Ave toward Golden. Follow W 44th Ave for about 1.5 miles, and you will see the Colorado Railroad Museum at 17155 W 44th Ave, Golden, CO 80403. Parking is available on site, and there is no fee for parking.

Public Transportation (Bus and Light Rail)
To use public transportation, you can take the Bustang service from Southern Colorado cities like Pueblo to Denver. Check the Bustang schedule for times and routes. Once in Denver, transfer to the RTD light rail at Union Station. Take the W Line toward Golden and get off at the Jefferson County Government Center - Golden Station. From there, you can take a local bus (Route 16) heading west which will take you close to the museum. The museum is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Ensure you have exact change or a transit pass for the bus fare.
