Car
If you're driving from Bear Mountain, begin by heading east on Main Street. After about 0.5 miles, turn left onto Route 44 (West). Continue for approximately 15 miles until you reach the junction with Route 272. Turn left onto Route 272 and follow it for about 3 miles. The entrance to Haystack Mountain State Park will be on your right. There is no entrance fee for the park, but parking is available on-site.
