If you're driving, head towards the East River on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. From Central Park, take 5th Avenue heading east until you reach 59th Street. Turn right onto 59th Street and continue until you reach the FDR Drive. Merge onto the FDR Drive North. Take Exit 16 towards 68th Street and merge onto E 68th Street. Continue until you hit Main Street. Turn left on Main Street and you will find Blackwell House at 500 Main St, New York, NY 10044. Parking may be limited, so look for nearby street parking or garages, which may charge around $10-$20 for a few hours.

Take the subway to the 68th Street-Hunter College Station on the Q line. From there, exit the station and head east on 68th Street towards the East River. Turn left onto Main Street and continue walking until you reach Blackwell House at 500 Main St. The walk from the subway station to the house takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Be aware that subway fares are $2.75 per ride.

You can also take the M31 bus from various points in Manhattan towards the East River. If you're near 5th Avenue, catch the M31 at the nearest bus stop. Walk until you reach Blackwell House at 500 Main St. The fare for the bus is the same as the subway, $2.75.
