Train
From Greenwich, walk to the Greenwich Train Station located at 2 Railroad Ave. Once at the station, purchase a ticket for the Metro-North Railroad towards Grand Central Terminal. Board the train and enjoy the scenic ride. After approximately 50 minutes, disembark at Grand Central Terminal in New York City. From Grand Central, transfer to the subway system.
Subway
At Grand Central Terminal, follow the signs to the subway. Take the 4, 5, 6, or S train towards downtown. If you take the 4 or 5, get off at 14th Street-Union Square Station. If you take the 6, get off at Astor Place Station. Once you exit the subway, walk east along E 12th St until you reach your destination.
Bus
From the Greenwich Train Station, you can also take the CT Transit bus (Route 10) towards Stamford. Get off at the Stamford Transportation Center and transfer to the Metro-North Railroad towards Grand Central Terminal. Once you arrive at Grand Central, use the subway as described above to reach E 12th St.
Walking
If you are already in the downtown area of Greenwich, you can also explore local shops and restaurants on foot before heading to the train station. It's a pleasant walk to the station, and you can enjoy the sights along the way.
